Dongguan Guanyin Temple is a historic Buddhist temple located in Dalingshan Forest Park, Dongguan City. The temple was first built during the Ming Dynasty and has a history of over 300 years. It was once abandoned due to the changing times, but in 2001, Master Shangjue Xiaowu took over and began to revive the Guanyin Temple. After years of effort, the temple has been rebuilt and restored, and is now a popular religious site with a thriving incense offering and a constant stream of visitors.
The architecture of the Guanyin Temple is built on the mountainside, with a grand scale and magnificent golden decorations. It is known as the "Guangdong version of the Potala Palace". The interior of the temple is modernly decorated, with an elevator and sofas, providing a suitable environment for short-term meditation. There are several halls within the temple, including the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, and the Guanyin Pavilion. In front of each hall, there are believers praying devoutly.
