We first met at Songshan Lake
Seventeen years of time have passed
The morning light still gently falls
The story pauses here and sets off again
Seventeen rings of growth have etched countless marks of companionship
Together with one good friend after another
We shared mornings and nights
Witnessed growth and reunions
Time spins within the heart of the tree
And we quietly draw closer to each other through the years
The future rings of time continue to grow slowly
May we remain together
Writing new stories in every cycle of time
