Zhuqiao Recreation Area is located in Donghe Township, Taitung County, near the 148km mark of Provincial Highway 11. It is one of three recreation areas within the Eastern Coast National Scenic Area, the others being Jiamuzi Bay Recreation Area and Junjie Recreation Area. Zhuqiao Recreation Area is renowned for its coconut groves and coastal reefs. Zhuqiao Recreation Area is a coastal leisure space that blends natural landscapes with cultural heritage. Spanning the mouth of a stream, Zhuqiao offers expansive views of the vast Pacific Ocean on one side and lush green mountains on the other, making it a perfect spot for visitors to rest and take photos. The recreation area features viewing platforms, pavilions, and trails, allowing visitors to enjoy the sea breeze and the ebb and flow of the tides and the changing sky. In the evening, the intertwining of clouds and waves creates a tranquil and beautiful scene.
