Dongshan Island is located in Dongshan County, Zhangzhou, Fujian, with a land area of 188 square kilometers, making it the second largest island in Fujian Province. The island is very close to Yunxiao County, separated by a 600-meter water channel. Since the construction of the Bachimen Seawall in 1961, it has become a land-connected island. Being near the Tropic of Cancer, Dongshan Island enjoys a warmer climate compared to other islands. Many films and TV shows have been shot here, most notably the movie "The Left Ear" (filmed at Nanmen Bay), where the mountaintop terrace and graffiti walls have left many beautiful memories. Another highlight is the "Fishbone Sandbar," which reveals its true form with the tides. The ticket price, including round-trip boat fare, is 108 yuan. When we visited on a weekday, there were few tourists, and we almost had a boat to ourselves. The water on the sandbar is incredibly clear, making it very pleasant to walk in, though we felt drone photography would capture its beauty even better. Lastly, we visited Sufeng Mountain, where you can take a sightseeing bus up the mountain. The coastal views along the mountain road are stunning, perfect for photos. On our way down, we unexpectedly encountered a peacock displaying its feathers near the sightseeing bus stop, which lasted for nearly half an hour.
