Siziwang Banner New Museum [Pearl of Northern Frontier]

Siziwang Banner New Museum is located at No. 75, Xinhua Street, Wulanhua Town, Siziwang Banner, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The exterior design of the museum is mainly red, symbolizing the red soil layer of the Tertiary Period in Siziwang Banner. From a distance, it looks like a huge rock, but up close, it looks like a lying saddle, with the tower-shaped building on top representing the Shenzhou spacecraft. The museum has a rich exhibition content, mainly including the following aspects:

Space Theme

• Space Exhibition Hall: It displays the history of the joint growth of Siziwang Banner and China's space industry, including real-life models and technical models of spacecraft such as Chang'e 6. The exhibition hall also displays the seat Yang Liwei sat in during his space mission and the spare parachute of the main parachute when the return capsule landed.

• Shenzhou Spacecraft Model: Rocket model, Shenzhou spacecraft model, and precious pictures of the spacecraft recovery site at the landing site donated by the General Armament Department of the People's Liberation Army of China.

Geology and Paleontology

• Siziwang National Geopark Nanliang Park In-situ Burial Hall: It displays rich fossils of ancient mammals, including three-toed horse fossils. The stratigraphic corridor displays fossils excavated from different strata, maintaining the original discovery state of semi-excavation.

Human History and Folklore

• Historical Relics: The museum houses a large number of precious cultural relics, including the silver seal of the Banner Zasak Prince, Mongolian costumes, arrowheads, etc., recording the history of nomadic peoples.

• Folklore Museum: It collects more than 5,000 folklore items, including folklore items of nomadic culture and farming culture, showing the production and life of farmers and herdsmen in Siziwang Banner.

• The museum is open from 9:30 am to 11:30 am and from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and is open as usual on holidays.
