If you are me who enjoys a peaceful environment rather a commercialised itinerary, here we go!
1. Start your day early at Panda Valley, take a cab (about 15 yuan) to Nam Qiao Street/south bridge street.
- not the most pandas here, around 10+ pandas but definitely good enough! you want to see active pandas not 100-200 pandas while fighting with alot of humans to get a spot.
- i didn't go other panda spots but I choose this because I wanted to avoid the crowds and it was manageable for a quiet soul for me on a Friday
2. Walk towards this food street where 樂意裡 and have your lunch WITHOUT NEEDING TO PAY FOR THE SCENIC AREA! super chewy mini dumplings
- siumai was just okay, avoid it if you have no stomach space
- if you don't want to eat mini dumplings, this area has alottttt of other food!
- as for scenic spots, you could pay to view around but it wasn't my focus;))
3. Stroll around until you are tired and go to this tea house based in old wooden house at Wen Miao Street
- non shopping person will get tired after awhile so I found a really nice place
- this place is ran by friendly old aunty and uncle
-environment was great! if you have a little mosquito attacking you, aunty is happy to light up some mosquito smoke repellent for you
btw what's the most disappointing part of Dujiangyan was the blue tears. i stayed till the night and realized the colour are just from the wall and it wasn't even blue!
but somehow the other smaller stuffs that I stumble upon in Dujiangyan made up the disappointment!
also tips! there are alot of xipu station and if you are a foreigner like me wanting to be safe, the train ticket you buy via trip.com is the biggest Dujiangyan train station just incase your teksi driver asks
