Laojun Pavilion at Qingcheng Mountain | The Taoist Patriarch Presides Over a Pure Land Amidst Verdant Clouds
Amidst the secluded paths of Qingcheng Mountain lies a tranquil and solemn temple—Laojun Pavilion. Built into the mountainside, its red walls and emerald tiles are nestled among verdant pines and bamboo. When shrouded in mist, the pavilion appears and disappears, resembling a fairyland.
Enshrined within the temple is the golden statue of Taishang Laojun, clutching a whisk and a serene expression. He is revered as the "Ancestor of Dao" in Taoism, symbolizing the origin of the Great Dao. Pilgrims often burn incense and kowtow with the utmost reverence, praying for relief from misfortunes and peace of mind. Some also gaze silently at the Laojun statue, absorbing its transcendental aura.
