Babes, here’s the key point! 👏 Pandas prefer the cold over heat, so you must get in around 7:30 AM! That’s their prime eating time, so you’ll basically see lively and adorable pandas in action 🐼. If you arrive late, the pandas might have already eaten and gone to nap, and you’ll miss the chance to get up close with them 😢. During the National Day holiday, we entered after 8 AM, and many pandas were sleeping—felt like a crowded mountain hike with a big drop in experience 😭. But on the 10 AM visit, we were lucky to see a panda awake—he stuck out his tongue, ate bamboo, wandered around, and even lifted his hind leg on a tree to pee, putting on a full show that made the ticket totally worth it 🤩!

Once inside, just follow the crowd; all the panda villas are along this path 😃. Bamboo is everywhere, and there are tons of trees, making you feel like you’re in a forest 🌳. You can see many adorable national treasures—some eating bamboo indoors, others outdoors with their heads buried like they’re sheltering from rain. About 10 pandas were active 🥰. But rainy days can dampen the experience, so be sure to check the weather before you go 🌦️.

🐾 Adventures in the Red Panda Area

The path from the giant panda area to the red panda area slopes upward a bit, but it’s not steep and is friendly for seniors 👵. The red panda area was the highlight of this trip! We finally got into the red panda zone, but shockingly only saw two little cuties 😱! Everyone just surrounded one relatively active red panda, snapping tons of photos 📸. But don’t miss the 10 AM feeding time! That’s when the red pandas come to the viewing platform to eat, then they hide again 😏. One guy saw a red panda strutting down the trail, escorted by a security guard like a superstar, and said seeing that made the trip totally worth it 🤣.

The whole park is amazing, covered in greenery like a natural oxygen bar 🌿. A stroll around takes about an hour; the park isn’t big, so walking slowly and stopping to look around takes about 3 hours total. Plus, you can see white peacocks roaming freely—super interesting 🦚.
