my visit to Panda Valley in Dujiangyan was a wonderful and peaceful experience. Unlike the crowded panda bases in central Chengdu, this place offers a calm and natural environment surrounded by lush bamboo forests and mountain views. It felt more like observing the pandas in their real habitat rather than in a typical zoo. I especially loved how close we could get to the red pandas and how relaxed the whole atmosphere was.

Although the number of giant pandas isn’t huge, the quality of the experience makes up for it — fewer crowds mean more time to really watch and enjoy their adorable behaviors. The walking paths are a bit uneven, but they lead you through beautiful greenery and quiet spots where you can take nice photos. Visiting early in the morning is definitely worth it because that’s when the pandas are most active and feeding.

In short, Panda Valley is perfect for anyone who wants a slower, more meaningful encounter with China’s national treasure. It’s a great reminder that sometimes the smaller, quieter places leave the biggest impression. I’d rate it 8 out of 10 for its calm atmosphere, natural setting, and unforgettable panda moments.
