If you’re visiting Dushanbe in spring, Independence Square is a must-see! This massive open square is centered around the impressive Monument Istiklol, which symbolizes Tajikistan’s independence. But what really took my breath away were the roses—Dushanbe is known as the “City of Roses,” and in late April, they were blooming everywhere!

The whole area feels spacious and open, perfect for a casual walk or just relaxing in the sunshine. The combo of stunning architecture and nature in full bloom is something special.
