Erdaohai is located in the northern section of the Munigou Scenic Area, separated from the Zaga Waterfall by just one mountain. It is the largest lake in the area. The scenic area is a narrow and secluded ravine, 5 kilometers long, connected by a plank road.

The name Erdaohai (Erdaohai) dates back a long time, and is said to derive from its two main lakes, Xiaohaizi and Dahaizi. Erdaohai is a typical sunken lake. Surrounded by numerous underground caves, the lake's waters connect to other lakes through these caves.
