① Enter from the Ulagai Jiuguwan Visitor Center
Ticket + Sightseeing Bus: CNY 80/person
There are entertainment activities such as horseback riding and grass skiing.
(If you just want to see the full view of Jiuguwan, I suggest you see ②)
② Navigate directly to "Zai Shui Yi Fang"
After arriving at Zai Shui Yi Fang, find a guy selling beef jerky and tell him you want to go to Jiuguwan. He will give you a pass and tell you how to get there for CNY 100 per car.
You can drive to the top of the mountain when the weather is good. If it has rained recently, the road is muddy, and you need to walk. The herdsmen will tell you the walking route, which takes about 15–20 minutes.
When you reach the top of the mountain, you can see the full view of Jiuguwan and see cattle and sheep grazing up close. The scenery is beautiful and refreshing, and it is worth a visit.
