Calton Hill: Where Ruins Meet the Sky

#hellohalloween

Hiking up Calton Hill felt like stepping into a gallery of unfinished dreams. Massive stone structures—some half-built, some weathered by time—stood proudly against the sky. Each one had its own mystery, like silent giants frozen mid-conversation.

From the top, Edinburgh unfolded beneath me. I could see the Scott Monument rising like a gothic needle, and the Edinburgh Castle perched regally on its rock. The city looked poetic from here—layers of history, rooftops, and distant hills stitched together by light.

The wind was playful, the path gentle, and the view unforgettable. Calton Hill wasn’t just a lookout—it was a place where architecture, nature, and imagination meet. I lingered, taking it all in.
