■ Sareya Yellow Hill

📍Sareya Yellow Hill

The mimosas bloom so much that a "Mimosa Festival" is held every March.

In spring, the hill covering about 2 hectares is dyed yellow with rape blossoms.

Back in 2012, Mr. Matsuura, the manager of Yellow Hill, was thinking about how to attract people to revitalize the area.

So he decided to cultivate an abandoned mandarin orange field and turn it into a flower field.

When he saw the rape blossoms that were originally in bloom, he thought,

Because it is the city flower, yellow flowers evoke the image of happiness, and above all, yellow stands out! So he planted rape blossoms all over it.

After two years of development, the Yellow Hill was filled with rape blossoms in the spring of 2015, the third year.

Rumors spread about the "Yellow Hill" of Sareya, and now it is said that 500 people visit at peak times.
