[Mount Fuji as seen from Enoshima]

#DomesticTravelTactics

I recently visited Enoshima for the first time in several years.

On that day, the winter air in Enoshima was dry, so Mt. Fuji could be clearly seen in the distance, and I was able to show this quintessentially Japanese view to my friend who was visiting from overseas.

Mt. Fuji evokes special feelings for Japanese people.

It stands out against the blue sky because there are no mountains of a similar height around it.

Enoshima was sparsely populated in the morning, but as it got closer to noon, the narrow island road became crowded with many day-trippers. It's easier to walk here with fewer people, so if you don't like crowds, it's best to go in the morning if possible.

💰Price per person: There is no entrance fee to Enoshima. You can enjoy a stroll for free.

🏖️Atmosphere/Facilities: There is a steel tower for a lookout point about halfway up the island. There is a fee to climb it, but it's not too far to the base, so it's worth checking out. The illuminated garden is also open to the public free of charge during the day.
