II. Accommodation Arrangement (Comfortable and Pitfall-Free)
1. Ergun: Choose the Ergun Wetland Hotel in the city center. It has complete facilities, convenient transportation, many nearby restaurants, and you can walk to barbecue places.
2. Mordaoga: Stay in a hotel near the scenic area, such as Mordaoga International Hunting Ground Hotel. It's close to attractions, so you don't have to rush.
3. Enhe Russian Ethnic Township: Stay in a Russian-style Mukelen B&B. Local Russian-owned B&Bs are recommended, they have Russian fireplaces, making evenings warm and atmospheric.
4. Heishantou: Choose a yurt with an private bathroom, such as Heishantou Grassland Family Yurt. You can watch the starry sky at night and stay comfortably.
5. Manzhouli: Prioritize Matryoshka-themed hotels for an immersive exotic experience. They are close to Matryoshka Square, making it convenient to see the night view.
III. Pitfall Guide (Hard-earned Experience!)
1. Don't book low-cost tours: Low-cost tours are rushed, involve a lot of shopping, and cut down on scenic spot time. It's much better to drive yourself or book a pure play small group; the experience difference is huge!
2. Be rational about spending in scenic areas: Don't overspend on photos with reindeer; you can feed them for free at Genhe Reindeer Park. Don't buy local specialties in scenic areas; go to city supermarkets or herdsmen's homes, they are cheaper and more authentic.
3. Pay attention to road conditions when driving: In September-October, the border highway has fallen leaves, and the road can be slippery in rainy weather. It's recommended to drive a 4WD vehicle and download offline maps in advance; in early October, remember to bring anti-skid chains to avoid getting stuck.
