Lingshan Temple
Located 10 kilometers east of Chengxiang Town, the county seat, directly in front of the Lingshan Scenic Area in Mianning, Lingshan Temple is named for its Lingshan Mountain backdrop. The "Seven Stars Embracing the Moon" architectural complex, centered around the Main Hall, houses a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha in the front hall and a wooden statue of Yang Xuexin, the founder of the temple, in the rear hall. Lingshan Temple is renowned throughout the world for its miraculous effects, receiving hundreds of thousands of pilgrims on average.
Benbo religious stele
The stele is constructed of granite, approximately 1 meter high, 0.4 meters wide, and 0.15 meters thick. Slightly weathered, the text and images are clearly legible. The upper portion of the stele features a scrolling cloud pattern, while the lower portion features a relief sculpture of a lion. In the center, three lines of Tibetan script (transcribed from Sanskrit) are engraved in a simple and neat style. The first line contains the "Eight-Character Mantra" of the Tibetan Bonpo sect.
Black Jade Sea
The Black Sea, located at the source of the Lingshan River's main ditch, covered an area of approximately 5 mu (approximately 1.5 acres) in 2014, with an elevation of approximately 3,500 meters. Its shape resembles a gourd. The peaks to the north and south of the Black Sea are perpetually snow-capped, with spruce and rhododendrons atop the cliffs. The eastern slopes gently slope downward, while the western ridge's glacier extends into the forest. At the western outlet, rhododendrons cover the lawns, and jagged rocks are visible. The water appears black from a distance, but crystal clear up close.
