The autumn in the Greater Khingan Range is absolutely wild!!!

I've always had a special filter for attractions with the words "National Park" in them. I always feel they come with a quality guarantee under a grand narrative, less commercial than a "scenic area," and more of a sense of vast, pristine exploration. So, on the third day, we basically set aside a whole day (mainly because we wanted to sleep in) to visit just this one place.
🚂 Two Ways to Explore: Little Train VS Self-Drive
Mordaoga offers two ways to explore, each with four stops:
1️⃣ Forest Little Train
Forest Sea Pine Rhyme Station | Scots Pine Forest
Garden Forest Sea Station | Wildflower Forest Sea
Forest Streamside Station | Forest Stream
Forest Ranch Station | Encounter Reindeer
2️⃣ Full Self-Drive
Red Bean Slope | Larch Forest, Northern Red Beans
Nine Ridges at a Glance | Overlooking Layered Mountains
Evenki Reindeer Tribe | Close Encounter with Reindeer
Forest on Ice | Larch Forest
Because we wanted an in-depth tour, to stop whenever we liked, our free-spirited selves decided to self-drive the whole way~
🛣️ Real Experience: The Scenery is Actually on the Road!
Personally, I didn't find the four official stops particularly stunning. Instead, the experience of stopping and going as we pleased along the roadside, slowly taking in the views, was much better.
Unlike Genbai Road, Mordaoga's trees are mostly towering coniferous forests. After the needles fall, they accumulate along both sides of the road, forming an orange carpet that feels soft underfoot. At the same time, the road is narrower, the trees on both sides are denser, and the autumn colors feel more enveloping (what a way to put it).
After leaving Mordaoga, you can take another section of Genbai Road to reach Shiwei, where there are also some surprising small scenic spots along the way. If you arrive early, you can continue driving north towards Linjiang Village and enjoy the sunset along the border river.
