Éze, the eagle's nest village of southern France, is a small mountaintop village accessible by bus from Nice.
Take bus number 82 (to Èze Village) and get off at Èze Village.
Once you enter the village, you'll find a maze of narrow cobblestone alleys, and walls covered in greenery and flowers that are truly beautiful.
There are many photogenic spots, so just walking around is enjoyable.
From the botanical garden at the top, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the deep blue Mediterranean and the reddish-brown rooftops.
Although it costs 8€ to climb up, it's definitely worth it.
The village is also home to a perfume factory, shops, small ateliers, and cafes, making it a great place to take a break or look for souvenirs.
There are many slopes and stairs, so comfortable walking shoes are essential.
If you're planning a trip to the south of France that includes Nice or Monaco, this is a place worth stopping off for half a day.
