Ezhou Museum Tour Guide

Ezhou City Museum is a national first-class museum, the only comprehensive museum in Ezhou City, and also one of the important cultural relics collection, research, and exhibition institutions in Hubei Province. In July 1959, Ezhou City Museum was established; on August 28, 2014, the new museum officially opened to the public. In May 2024, it was designated as a national first-class museum.
The collections of Ezhou City Museum mainly come from archaeological excavations, collections, donations, purchases, and other means. The majority of the collections are cultural relics unearthed in coordination with basic construction archaeological excavations, mainly ceramics and bronzes. The categories of the museum's cultural relics include pottery, porcelain, bronzes, bronze mirrors, ironware, goldware, silverware, jade, stoneware, books, paintings and calligraphy, paper currency, seals, lacquered woodware, textiles, etc. As of the end of 2019, Ezhou City Museum has 80,121 pieces/sets of collections, including 4,758 pieces/sets of precious cultural relics.

Exhibition Area Distribution:
1st Floor: Three Kingdoms Culture Exhibition, located on the south side of the museum; E Chu Culture Exhibition, located on the north side of the museum.
2nd Floor: Bronze Mirror Culture Exhibition, located on the south side of the museum; Ezhou Folk Culture Exhibition, located on the north side of the museum.
3rd Floor: Historical Figures and Ezhou Exhibition, located on the north side of the museum.
Free Guided Tour Times:
Tuesday to Sunday
Morning 9:30-10:30 Afternoon 14:30-15:30 (Tours start with a minimum of 5 people)
Paid guide services are also available, including electronic guide self-service and human guide, which need to be inquired and processed at the front desk in the lobby.
Free guided tours are also available for military personnel and their families, but advance reservation is required.

1. Audiences listening to the explanation please arrive at the front desk five minutes in advance, tours start with a minimum of 5 people.
2. Visit civilly, keep quiet, and follow the arrangements of the on-site staff.
