Among the karst mountains, seven connected caves form this magical water area. The bamboo raft tour lasts about 1.5 hours. It’s recommended to go on a sunny afternoon when the sunlight directly hits the skylight for the most beautiful light and shadow show. The raft guide explains the geological evolution. Remember to bring a light jacket, as it’s 5-8°C cooler inside the cave than outside.

It’s about a 3-hour drive from Chongzuo. It’s suggested to visit here on the same day as Mingshi Tianyuan. Wearing bright-colored clothes on the bamboo raft makes for especially great photos—every shot looks like it belongs in National Geographic! At the exit, local Yao ethnic aunts sell freshly picked passion fruit, 5 RMB for a big bag.
