🌊 Fethiye, Turkey, an emerald coast and a leisurely port city

#TravelGuide

Fethiye is one of the most relaxed port cities in southwestern Turkey. The picturesque scenery of the small marina and surrounding mountains captivated me as soon as I arrived. Cafes and restaurants lining the harbor offer fresh seafood, making it a great way to enjoy both the meal and the scenery.

Just outside the city, trekking trails like Olympos and Red Valley are nearby, making for a great place to enjoy a hike in nature. Paragliding along the coastline offers breathtaking views of Fethiye from above. The emerald sea, mountains, and small islands blend together, creating a feeling like flying through a painting.

Walking through the Old Town, you'll discover vestiges of medieval Turkey and a rustic market, making it a great place for a leisurely stroll. However, because it's a popular tourist destination, it's crowded during the day and can get a bit crowded during the summer peak season. Visiting early in the morning or late in the afternoon is a great way to enjoy the tranquility.

Fethiye is a city where the sea, nature, and culture harmonize, making it the perfect place for both relaxation and activities. I enjoyed leisurely strolling, savoring the flavors, and taking in the sky and sea.
