The Belmond Villa San Michele is a hotel of pure magic, set in a former monastery on the hills of Fiesole overlooking Florence. The view of the city from the hotel's terrace and its infinity pool is one of the most iconic and beautiful I have ever seen. My room, which was once a monk’s cell, was beautifully restored with modern amenities while retaining its historic charm. The service was impeccable, with staff that made me feel like part of a family. The gardens are tranquil and beautiful. It's a place that feels deeply romantic and historical, a perfect base for exploring Florence while enjoying a peaceful retreat.
