Explore winding boardwalks hugging the turquoise water, ideal for a sunrise stroll or picnic by the rocks. Don’t miss snapping the canyon’s sheer cliffs reflecting on the bay for a truly “insta-worthy” landscape. At Swan Lake, also found in the Tianshan Grand Canyon Scenic Area, early mornings promise quiet, magical mist and maybe—if you’re lucky—graceful swans gliding by. I recommend bringing a windbreaker, as canyon gusts can surprise you!

For both spots: Carry water, dress in layers (mountain weather flips fast!), mind slippery stones, and double-check your route as signage is sparse. Duku’s peaceful vibe is best savored with lingering pauses—don’t rush!

Skip continents to Florence and the iconic Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Piazza del Duomo, 50122 Firenze; open Mon-Sat 10:15–15:45, closed Sun). Marvel at the grand facade, but the real star is the climb up Brunelleschi’s dome for panoramic city views—get tickets in advance and conquer those 463 steps! The piazza itself is a prime photo spot, especially early when crowds are thin.
