Foshan Shunde Beijiao Niche Attraction｜Bijian Golden Building

Historical background: During the Daoguang period, Su Piwen, a first-rank official, returned to his hometown and built a Lingnan-style mansion for himself, the Zhi Fang Di. The library, Fu He Lou, is the location of the Golden Building.

The Golden Building was indeed a place for a beauty. Later, after Cixi's adopted daughter, Dai Peiqiong, the daughter of the Grand Councilor Dai Hongci, married Su Baiyu, the grandson of Su Piwen, the Su family used 13 jin of gold to cover the Golden Building with gold leaf and gold mud to welcome the bride.

🚍Bus: Metro Line 7 - Jinlong Station, Exit C → Transfer to Bus 332B
We recommend taking the metro and then a taxi, as there is road construction outside and parking is difficult.

🎫Tickets: Full price: CNY 15; Ages 60–65: CNY 8; Ages 65+: Free

Visiting time: 1–2 hours. This is a niche attraction, so there are not many people. You can wear a hanfu or cheongsam to take photos.

🍽Dining: Deyunju (Shunde Private Kitchen) The food is good, but the price is a bit high.
