Foshan Staycation: Staying at the Hotel Favored by TVB Stars

This trip to Foshan was all about "good food, fun, and great accommodation" for a perfect local getaway. From Zumiao to Lingnan Tiandi, and finally to Fisherman's Wharf, it was a culinary and cultural feast.

✅ The staff shared that the owner is a local from Shunde, pouring his love for his hometown into the hotel's design. The wooden boat in the lobby, exquisite fish lanterns overhead, room decor featuring mulberry fish ponds, fragrant gauze, and traditional "wok ear" houses... every detail is worth admiring.

✅ My room featured floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views. By day, cargo ships glided slowly along the river; by evening, I watched the sunset from the window; and at night, the city lights sparkled beautifully.

✅ The room was thoughtfully equipped with a capsule coffee machine, complimentary drinks, and an ice bucket. The biggest surprise? A complimentary bottle of local red rice wine upon check-in! Sipping it while enjoying the night view was pure bliss.

✅ Smart amenities were impressive—voice control, touchscreen, and buttons all managed the room's devices, plus plenty of USB ports. My favorite? The smart toilet.

1️⃣ Cave-style heated pool: Absolutely stunning! The water temperature was perfect. The mirrored ceiling paired with emerald-green water made every shot Instagram-worthy. Post-swim, complimentary bottled water was right by the poolside.

2️⃣ Skyline bar: Ordered two drinks with panoramic river views. The glittering nightscape was unforgettable.

3️⃣ Room ambiance: Soaking in the bathtub with the river as a backdrop, playing music via smart devices—pure relaxation.

The breakfast spread blended Chinese and Western options, with standout Shunde specialties like silky-smooth double-layer milk pudding—more authentic than what I’ve had outside.
