Along Huagai Road Pedestrian Street, you'll find shops like "Sister Huan's Lunjiao Cake." "Lunjiao Cake" is essentially what Hong Kong calls "white sugar cake." The slight difference is that Hong Kong versions often have a sour taste, intentionally or not. At least because they're individually packaged, Lunjiao Cake isn't as sour as white sugar cake. Because it's less sour, the sweetness of the white sugar is more refined.
For 18 yuan, there are about 6 pieces, which is definitely more reasonable than in Hong Kong. With the number of white sugar cakes dwindling in Hong Kong, this place is worth a try for white sugar cake lovers.

Due to the pandemic, it seems the number of tourists in Shunde has decreased. I came at noon on a Saturday, and there wasn't a line, even though the place was almost full. You're guaranteed to get a seat after 1:30.
The grass carp sashimi is the star of the show, but honestly, I've had better elsewhere. All the fish was incredibly fresh, so if you haven't tried grass carp sashimi, it's a must-try.
A meal isn't just about the food; it's also about the overall experience. First, the setting, housed in an old house, is a bit of a downside, aside from the air conditioning in the summer, but the place feels quite connected to the history after visiting Qinghui Garden. The waitresses were also very friendly, and there was a guzheng performance at noon, which was a bonus.

If you search for "Yinggu" on most maps or review apps in China, you'll likely come across "Yinggu Pork Offal Porridge," which speaks volumes about its popularity. Right at the entrance, you'll find a variety of pig offal. First, you pick your offal, then choose your seat. A pot of porridge will be served, and then, once the offal is prepared, it'll be presented to you in plates. The waitress will sort and cook it for you. After you've finished eating all the offal and meat, the porridge becomes a delicious, quintessential porridge.

Honestly, the freshness and flavor of the offal is unmatched.
