Hiking 30,000 steps at Xiqiao Mountain, a nanny-level guide is here! No detours, just pure fun!

Xiqiao Mountain, one of the four famous mountains in Guangdong, has a long history dating back to the mid-Neolithic period. It also preserves the Shuangjian Stone Culture artifacts, truly a beacon of the Pearl River civilization!

My optimized route is: start from the West Gate, pass by Baiyun Cave, Tianhu Park, Jungle Zipline, Baofeng Temple, Cuiyan, Cliff Inscriptions, and finally descend via the South Gate East Trail.

Location: Xiqiao Mountain Scenic Area, Nanhai District, Foshan

Tickets: 55 RMB/person; Sightseeing bus 30 RMB/person

Transportation: Self-driving is recommended, with a maximum daytime parking fee of 10 RMB. After taking the subway to Nanzhuang Station, transfer to a bus or Didi.

Travel and check-in tips:

1. Mountain and water sightseeing: Cuiyan Cliff Inscriptions, South Gate East Trail, Baiyun Cave, and others are must-visit spots. Special reminder: to check in at Baiyun Cave, you must ascend via the West Gate trail; otherwise, you'll face a tiring sequence of downhill-uphill-downhill-uphill!
2. Lion Dance Performance: At the beautiful Tianhu Park, lion dance shows are held every Saturday at 2:00 PM and 3:30 PM. The pavilion in the middle of the lake is also a great photo spot.
3. Jungle Zipline: There are activities suitable for both kids and adults, with different colored lines charging different fees according to age groups.
4. Mountain cave exploration: Boat tours through caves are cool and relaxing, showcasing the mysterious craftsmanship of nature.
5. Incense offering and blessings: Baofeng Temple houses the Mahavira Hall, Manjusri Hall, Guanyin Hall, and the world's largest seated Guanyin statue — Nanhai Guanyin.

Scenery tips for each gate: The South Gate scenery is ordinary, mostly main roads; the West Gate Visitor Center offers cable car rides up and down the mountain; the West Gate trail is the top choice for Baiyun Cave check-in; the South Gate East Trail features babbling water and lush greenery; the North Gate Biyun Cave attraction is temporarily closed.

Follow this guide to ensure a happy trip without any detours!
