Lake Shojiko

#WinterTravel

Lake Shojiko is the smallest of the five lakes surrounding Mt. Fuji. You can see Mt. Fuji, the vast forest, and the lake without being obstructed by buildings. Enjoy the view of Mt. Fuji, which is a reflection of Mt. Fuji on the surface of the lake, and the view of Kodaki Fuji (Mt. Fuji holding a small mountain). Enjoy activities such as canoeing, Herabuna fishing, and camping by the lake.

You can take a bus to Kawaguchiko Station from Shinjuku Expressway Bus Terminal. The ride takes less than two hours. Once you arrive at Kawaguchiko Station, you can take a bus to any of the five lakes. The best way to access Lake Yamanakako is from Fujisan Station.

Shojiko is the smallest of the Fuji lakes. It offers a great view from the Iboshi-dake Panorama Platform on the southwest side of the lake. The reflection of Mt. Fuji on the surface of the lake is known as the "Upside-Down Mt. Fuji." Your options for land-based outdoor activities include hiking, camping, and fishing. On the water, you can also fish and boat.
