It takes about 2 hours one way by bus from downtown Tokyo, and you can see Mt. Fuji at a glance whenever you walk along the street, so I highly recommend Kawaguchiko to those looking for a trip near Tokyo.

Kawaguchiko has a variety of places to see, from the lake + Mt. Fuji view to the Lawson convenience store + Mt. Fuji view. I took the cable car and saw Mt. Fuji from the top of the mountain. Since it is a high place, you can see a great view of Mt. Fuji on a nice day.
