The Ankang Museum, formerly the Ankang History Museum, established in 1984, remains the city's only comprehensive museum. It is now located in Hanbin District, Ankang City, Shaanxi Province. The museum boasts a collection of over 40,000 items, including nearly 1,000 precious cultural relics. The collection features cultural relics from the Ba, Shu, and Chu dynasties during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period; celadon, brick carvings, and pottery figurines from the Han, Wei, and Northern and Southern Dynasties; and paintings and calligraphy by renowned figures from the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
The Ankang Museum, covering nearly 6,000 square meters, features three major exhibitions: "Gifted Ankang," "Source of Ankang," and "Building Dreams in Ankang," along with two special exhibitions: "Ankang's Third Front Construction Process" and "Famous Calligraphy and Paintings: Collection of Fine Paintings." These exhibitions detail Ankang's unique local resources, its unique cultural history, significant past events, achievements, and future prospects. The Ankang Museum also serves as a key landmark along the scenic route along the Yangtze River in central Ankang.

They systematically display Ankang's "characteristic resources, cultural history, major events, brilliant achievements, and future plans", outline Ankang's past, present and future, and truly play the role of "Ankang Cultural Ancestral Hall" and "Ankang Reception Hall".
