Travel Tips:
1. Weather and Clothing: In September, northern Xinjiang experiences extreme temperature differences between day and night (can exceed 20℃). The sun is strong during the day, so prepare summer clothes, sun-protective clothing, hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Mornings and evenings are very cold, so be sure to bring warm clothing such as windbreakers and light down jackets. The weather is dry, so pay attention to moisturizing.
2. Transportation: Xinjiang is vast, and distances between attractions are long, with extended driving times. It is recommended to charter a car or join a small group for convenience and flexibility.
3. Accommodation: Accommodation conditions in scenic areas like Hemu and Kanas are limited, especially the wooden cabins. Please be mentally prepared. September is peak season, so be sure to book in advance.
4. Dining: Xinjiang offers a wide variety of cuisine, mainly beef, lamb, and pasta. Eat in moderation and consider bringing some stomach medicine.
5. Documents: Your ID card must be carried with you at all times, as there are many checkpoints along the way.
6. Time Difference: Xinjiang uses Beijing time, but there is an actual time difference of about 2 hours in daily routines compared to inland China. Generally, work starts at 10 AM, lunch is from 2-3 PM, and dinner is from 8-9 PM.
