Snowy Forest Stairway Home

After bidding farewell to Feilong Pond, we made our way along the winding stone steps that cut through a forest of straight pine trees. Sunlight filtered through the towering canopy, casting dappled patterns on the thin layer of snow covering the woodland floor. It was an uphill climb all the way, where the edges of snow and rock outlined the silence and crisp chill of the winter mountains. With each step upward, the anticipation grew for the stunning lakeside view that would soon open up before us.
