Fukuoka Sumiyoshi Shrine ⛩️

There are about 2,000 Sumiyoshi Shrines in Japan, and the Sumiyoshi Shrine in Fukuoka is said to be the first. That's why more people visit it ⌁❤︎⌁

Fukuoka Sumiyoshi Shrine⛩️
Sumiyoshi Shrine Honden
住吉神社 本殿 (Nationally Designated Important Cultural Property)

✔️ Open every day • 09:00 ~ 17:00 • Free admission

📍It's a 10-minute walk from Canal City, about 600m away, so it's a good shrine to stop by if you're going to Canal City.
It's a short walk from Hakata Station, so I recommend Sumiyoshi Shrine as a place worth visiting in Fukuoka. ε ᴗ̈ ɜ

⛧ Torii (鳥居), which is commonly seen in Japanese shrines, is a gate that signals the beginning of a sacred place, and can often be seen at the entrance of the shrine.
Many people take pictures in front of the torii that leads to the sacred place:)
It's a place where you can feel your mind being purified and at ease because there are red torii that remind you of Kyoto's Fushimi Inari. ⛧

It's a quiet place that's great for taking pictures, so it's a good place to take snaps or leave travel photos with a pretty background.
It's made up of flat land, so it's great for a walk, so if you go to Fukuoka, visit here too! ❤️❤️❤️
