Stay in the Tenjin area of Fukuoka, a district teeming with restaurants and shopping malls, right across from the Nishitetsu Fukuoka Station (Tenjin) and integrated with the Solaria Plaza shopping mall. Right next to it is the Kego Park and the Tenjin Underground Shopping Area, with Mitsukoshi and Daimaru just a short walk away, making it a shopper's paradise!
The Solaria Hotel, with its prime location, was refurbished just before the pandemic, and the interior of the hotel is very modern, with a contemporary stylish flair. Art pieces are displayed in the lobby, corridors, and rooms, adding a touch of luxury!
Room rates are slightly higher, with double rooms of about 6-7 tatami mats in size, costing around $4500-5000 without breakfast. However, due to the excellent living functions and convenient transportation, the higher price seems reasonable.
Eating is super convenient, with many well-known chain restaurants in the mall downstairs, and even drugstores and Don Quijote are just a walk away.
When visiting Fukuoka, in addition to trying Hakata ramen, I highly recommend the local chicken barbecue, where you can experience various chicken cooking techniques at once, and the famous beef intestine hotpot is also another great choice.
