Japan's tallest seaside tower

Fukuoka Tower, located in the Seaside Momochi district, is Japan's tallest seaside tower, standing at 234 meters tall.

Its stylish design makes for a wonderful photo opportunity, with buildings reflected in the skyline and other landmarks.

The seasonal illuminations are also a highlight.
There were no illuminations on display at the time, but...

November 8 (Fri) - December 25 (Wed), 2024

From 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM, blue lights will illuminate the street trees.

The tower's giant 108-meter-tall tree will also change color, changing from green, yellow, red, purple, blue, orange, and white.

From the observation deck, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Hakata Bay.

From the observation deck on the top floor, 123 meters above ground, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view of Fukuoka's cityscape, Hakata Bay, and more.

To the east is Kyushu's busiest shopping district, including Hakata Station and Tenjin.
To the west is the waterfront, including the yacht harbor and seaside park.
From the south, you can see the cityscape, which won an Asian Cityscape Award, and the lush Sefuri Mountains in the distance.
To the north, beyond Hakata Bay, you can see the horizon where the sky and sea blend together, an experience you can't get from land.

At this heart-shaped photo spot, you can take photos with the Fukuoka scenery as a backdrop. If you hold hands and touch the switch, you'll be enveloped in a heart of light.

It's said that locking Fukuoka Tower's original "Love Lock" on the promise fence will keep you together forever,
so many couples visit.
For 1,000 yen each,

The "Sky Gacha" machine is so large that even adults have to look up.

Open it and you'll get a unique Fukuoka figurine. There are seven types in total.
For 500 yen each,

Cross the road north of Fukuoka Tower and climb a few flights of stairs to find a small plaza.

This is a photo spot with a spectacular view!

From here, you can take photos with Fukuoka Tower in the background.

There are blue trees decorated with blue lights, and when you take a photo with the tower, the trees create a beautiful reflection.

There are also pyramid-shaped objects and spheres, so we enjoyed taking lots of photos with the tower.

All four of us are together at Seaside Momochi Seaside Park, at the end of Sazae-san Street.
