2. Park Features
Number of cherry blossoms: There are about 1,000 cherry trees planted in the park, mainly Somei Yoshino cherry trees, as well as other varieties such as mountain cherry trees and weeping cherry trees.
Historical background: The park is located at the site of Fukuoka Castle (Maizuru Castle). The cherry blossoms, ancient city walls and moats complement each other and are full of historical atmosphere.
Night lights: During the cherry blossom season, a "Night Cherry Blossom Light-up" event will be held, and the cherry blossoms at night are particularly dreamy under the lights.
