Miyajidake Shrine in the rain ☔️

Miyajidake Jinja Shrine in Fukuoka is beautiful in a different way during the rainy season. The atmosphere is humid, the air is cool, the leaves are lush, and the flowers are blooming beautifully.

The main highlight of this shrine is the entrance stairway. Once you climb the stairs to the top, turn around and look down to see a long, straight road leading to the sea. If you come at sunset, it's incredibly romantic. But even at other times, this location is still beautiful. Even with the rain clouds, it's still peaceful and allows you to breathe deeply into nature.

For those visiting during the rainy season like us, we recommend bringing an umbrella or raincoat, as the rain can come at your own pace (sometimes heavy or light).

⏰ The shrine is open daily from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Going early is best for a quiet, private atmosphere.

🚆 Getting there: From Hakata Station, take the JR Kagoshima Line to Fukuma Station (about 30 minutes). Then, take a bus. Or, just a short taxi ride to the shrine.
