With the sky high and the fields vast, and the autumn wind gradually cooling, I finally found a poetic residence hidden in the everyday life of Fuzhou—Sanbao Bindi, which captures the depth of Oriental gardens in this small world.
Sanbao Bindi is not a traditional old residence; it is a design hotel renovated from old houses in the Three Lanes and Seven Alleys. The clever design of a "deep courtyard" strikes you as soon as you enter. White walls and black tiles divide the space, lattice windows let in light and shadow, and the modern geometric layout hides Chinese-style negative space, making every step inside interesting.
At the corner of the courtyard, you might encounter a solitary tree or a patch of soft moss at the base of the wall, instantly understanding the surprise of "bright prospects after dark willows." Rainy days are even more magical, with raindrops hitting the black tiles and mist swirling around the greenery, making the air feel gentle.
The texture of the old building is fully preserved, and the custom furniture carries the elegance of Ming-style design, with clean lines and ancient charm. Paired with scattered greenery and regularly changed flower arrangements, the warmth and scholarly atmosphere of Suzhou-style alleys are fully integrated into the modern space.
An autumn escape experience, living in the courtyard, couldn’t be more perfect~
