#summervacay If you’re in Sokcho and craving that classic Korean coastal vibe, Yeonggeumjeong Pavilion is a super chill spot to check out. It’s perched right over the rocks by the sea, and honestly, the sound of the waves crashing below is half the reason to go. I got there just before sunset, and the view? Chef’s kiss. Total postcard moment.
The pavilion itself is small but super photogenic, and the wooden bridge leading up to it gives you all the drama you need for a moody ocean walk. There were some people fishing, others just hanging out with coffee, it’s got that relaxed, no-rush feel. I also loved how close it is to other cool Sokcho spots, so it’s easy to just wander around after.
It’s not some huge tourist attraction, but that’s kinda the charm. Simple, peaceful, and full of salty sea air. A perfect spot to just breathe and enjoy the coast.
