Europe. Geneva | A Slow-Paced Italian-Style Town - Carouge.

If you want to experience Geneva more deeply, you must set aside a day for Carouge. This small town, planned by the Duchy of Savoy in the 18th century, is located just south of Geneva. Although it is not large in scale, it exudes a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere. Geneva is in the French-speaking region, but Carouge radiates a strong Italian vibe, earning it the nickname "Geneva's Little Italian Corner" among locals.

Strolling through the alleys with a map in hand, you'll encounter various design shops brimming with artistic and cultural charm, as well as antique and second-hand stores full of surprises. The small shops along the streets are worth exploring one by one. This time, I happened to come across a small exhibition by an emerging illustrator, which I absolutely loved.

The atmosphere here is more casual and personable compared to downtown Geneva. If you enjoy traveling with a strong sense of local life, don't miss out!
