A Day Trip to Genting Highlands with My Local Buddy!

Just an hour from KL, I went on a day trip to Genting Highlands with my amazing Malaysian friend as my guide—and it was such a vibe!

We started at Awana Station and took the scenic Awana Skyway cable car up the mountains. The views were incredible—lush rainforest, misty peaks, and fresh cool air. We stopped at Chin Swee Temple for some photos and quiet time before heading to the top.

At SkyAvenue Mall, we enjoyed shopping, a fun SkySymphony light show, and a tasty lunch with mountain views. The energy was so lively! We also walked by the entrance to Genting SkyWorlds—looks perfect for a full-day theme park adventure next time.

Instead of rushing back, we stayed until after dark to enjoy the cooler evening breeze, bright city-like lights, and even more vibrant vibes. The cable car ride at night was a highlight—seeing the glowing mountains under the stars was just magical.
