Finally made it to the popular Shu Da Xia Hotpot in Genting with my friends — and wow, it did not disappoint! Hidden inside the Resort Hotel, it can be a little tricky to find, but just follow the signs from SkyAvenue and head up to the first floor. Once you get there, the cozy atmosphere, spacious seating, and private dining rooms make it the perfect place to warm up in the chilly Genting weather.
If you’re a fan of bold flavors, don’t miss out on their Sichuan spicy broth, beauty collagen pork bone soup, and sour & spicy golden broth — my go-to trio every time! Pro tip: order the spicy broth and you’ll get a free yogurt drink to cool things down.
From meats like garlic ribs, chicken, pork slices (including premium Iberico cuts), to fresh seafood like prawns, squid, and fish slices, everything was sliced to the perfect thickness and cooked in just seconds. The duck intestines and liver slices were also surprisingly delicious — tender, flavorful, and paired perfectly with their dipping sauces. Don’t forget the handmade shrimp paste and their super long potato noodles!
We ended the meal with some icy dessert jelly to cool off, plus must-try snacks like brown sugar mochi, pumpkin cakes, and fried buns — crispy outside, soft inside, absolutely addictive.
Perfect for a warm, spicy supper in the cool mountain air — especially since they’re open till 2AM on weekends and there’s usually no queue at night!
