This bang in Penang with Gear Gear

:) ▶️ Hello, Gear Gear again!

This trip was just in early March 2023.

We took a direct flight from Chiang Mai to Hat Yai via Air Asia, then took the train across the border at Sadao to Butterworth, then took a ferry to Penang.

This place is located in the Penang street art district. I didn't recognize it at first, but it looked beautiful from the outside, so I walked around to find the entrance.

It turns out there's an entrance fee of RM20 and it closes at 5:00 PM Malaysian time.

The interior is decorated in a Chinese style, with stories and history to read and learn about. I arrived with 20 minutes left before closing time, but the staff were kind enough to let me continue taking photos and allow me to visit every building.

I personally think it's similar to a Chinese temple in Beijing.

To get there, I walked across the river from Chew Jetty, so there's no entrance fee.

If you want to see this place, I recommend going around 8:00 AM in the morning or around 4:40 PM before closing time, as photos won't be taken with anyone in them, and the staff will be able to explain the story well.
