Auntie Gaik Lean Nyonya cuisine, one Michelin star restaurant in Penang

I had heard of Auntie Gaik Lean's restaurant a long time ago, but couldn't find any reservation methods online, so I had to walk in and try my luck. We arrived at 12:30 noon and were able to share a table. I felt so happy!
The use of spices is bold but just right, just enough to stimulate the taste buds without being too salty or heavy. The restaurant has just been renovated in a royal blue and ink painting style, which is very nice. You can also see the portrait of the proprietress on the wall. The only beef dish and fried rice are recommended, and you can ask the waiter to recommend the rest. On the contrary, the recommended snack platter was quite ordinary, just like taking photos. We saw the lady at the shared table ordered and told me that I didn’t need to order anymore….

In addition, a 100RM deposit is required for reservation
