Step back a century at the Pinang Peranakan Mansion

I was captivated by this opulent and mysterious culture after watching "The Little Nyonya," but it wasn't until I came to Penang that I realized "Nyonya" specifically refers to girls of Chinese & Malay descent 👧🏻 (boys are called "Baba")! This museum was a filming location for the TV series, and as soon as I stepped in, I was dazzled by the house full of mother-of-pearl inlaid furniture ✨, and you can even sit on them for photos!

💒 About Here
This mansion was the home of 19th-century Chinese tycoon Chung Keng Kwee 🏡, and the grandeur befitting a second-rank official was truly extraordinary! It was later converted into a museum, but the ancestral hall, jewelry gallery, and kitchen are all preserved in their original state. As you wander around, you might just feel like a young lady from a prominent family yourself~
