As expected, great weather makes everything photogenic.
Ten years ago, I was a traveler in George Town, Penang, wandering the city, stopping here and there. It's been four or five years since I left, and it seems like things have changed, yet they haven't. I'm pretty sure the only constant is the heat!
As World Heritage Sites, George Town and Malacca aren't really that different. Perhaps the murals don't hold the same allure for locals.
Walking past the coffee shops where I used to work part-time, from coffee shops to juice shops to Western restaurants, it's a place where you might never see the same shops again.
Mural street attractions and shops are mostly located on Armenian Street. You can choose from a variety of cafes along the way, or just wander around, perhaps to the old Guanzai or the Jetty.
There are many cafes to choose from, each with its own unique charm. You can chill and explore nearby your accommodation. If the heat gets too intense, a cafe or a movie on 1st Avenue are also good options. The walking distance is generally about 10 to 20 minutes, so it's a pleasant one. Just be sure to use sunscreen and stay hydrated.
