Introducing Brown Bag Street

Zongbao Street is located in Tengchong, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province. In 1999, the Tengchong Municipal Government transferred the use rights of 33.8 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) of state-owned Yuquan Garden to individual business owner Zhou Shicai. In 2004, Zhou Shicai renovated Yuquan Garden, focusing on water as its core and the stone landscape as its essence. The all-wooden, antique-style buildings, built along the waterfront, are arranged in a winding and well-organized pattern. Arched bridges span the water, waterwheels constantly turning under the force of the current, and bamboo trees, both single and in full forests, create a picturesque scene reminiscent of a Jiangnan water town. He gave the "ancient town" a name that is distinctly Tengchong: Zongbao Street.

Today, a historic opportunity of leapfrogging development has brought the "Yuquan Night Moon" back to its former glory. The builders of today's splendid Tengchong have discerned the true gem, dusted it off, and meticulously crafted it, making it even more crystal clear and dazzling. Currently, Zongbao Street has become a tourist and leisure center, focusing on gambling on stones, tea tasting, bar-hopping, and fine dining.
