feeling artistic in a mansion

Entrance fee is affordable at RM20 per adult and totally worth the price. We visited at 10am during a public holiday.
The mansion is so large that it is hardly noticeable from the outside. Everything is well maintained and beautiful. In addition, there are many antiques that are meticulously displayed. Excellent example of a typical rich merchants home - full of antiques & access to so many rooms. There are English speaking guides and also mandarin tour at certain times of the day and they are very informative. I enjoyed the central courtyard and the different tiles throughout the premises, as well as the ancestral hall and the paintings. I really appreciate the effort of the current owner to preserve this historical and cultural heritage, and presented to the public. I’m still in awe of how rich the Peranakan culture is.
I highly recommend it to those traveling to Georgetown. You should never miss this attraction
