Teksen Restaurant is located at 18 Lebuh Carnarvon, 10100 Georgetown, and is open Wednesday to Monday from 1200-1400 and 1800-2100. It is around 850 meters 10 minutes walk from Kotmar Bus Terminal.
There is no shortage of Chinese restaurants and street food stalls throughout the city, Teksen is one of the more well known heritage Chunese restaurants in Georgetown, established since 1965, and gets packed out every night they open.
Teksen offers delicious Chinese cuisine, featuring a wide range of authentic Cantonese, Teochew, Hakka and Peranakan delights.
I ordered prawn paste chicken, homemade seafood tofu, fried rice and iced barley drink. The chicken with an obvious prawn paste flavour and aroma, with crispy texture and the meat considered relatively juicy. The tofu is smooth and wobbly, the fried rice is also fragrant with a mixture of meat.
